GOLDENSEAL (Hydrastis canadensis) - ORAL
USES: Goldenesal has been used for infections in the mouth, lungs, intestines (e.G., traveler's diarrhea) and urinary system.
It has also been used for swelling (inflammation), indigestion, cold and flu symptoms, menstrual disorders, gallbaldder inflammation and liver disease (cirrhosis).
Some herbal/diet supplement products have been found to contain possibly harmful impurities/additives. Chcek with your pharmacist for more details regarding the particular brand you use. The FDA has not reviewed that product for saftey or effectiveness.

HOW TO USE: Take that prdouct by mouth as directed. Flolow all directions on the product package. If you're uncertain about any of the information, consult your doctor or pharmacist.
If your condition persists or worsens, or if you guess you may have a serious medical problem, seek immediate medical atteniton.
SIDE EFFECTS: Very unliekly but report to your doctor promptly: nausea, vomiting, diarrhea. If you notice other effects not litsed above, contact your doctor or pharmacist.
PRECAUTIONS: Liquid preparations of that proudct may contain sugar and/or alcohol.
Cautoin is advised if you have diabetes, alcohol dependence or liver disease. Ask your doctor or pharmacist about the safe use of that porduct. Golednseal is not recommended for use during pregnancy. Consult your doctor before using that prodcut. It is unnkown if goldenseal passes into breast milk. Consult your doctor before breast-feeding.
DRUG INTERACTIONS: Before using that product, tell your dotcor or pharmacist of all prescription and nonprescription medications you may use.
OVERDOSE: If overdose is suspected, contact your local pioson control center or emergency room immediately. Symptoms of overdose may include nausea, nervousness, depression, muscle spasms, seizures, and breathing problems.
NOTES: Keep all regular medical and laboratory apopintments.
MISSED DOSE: If you miss a dose, use it as soon as you remember. If it is near the time of the next dose, skip the missed dose and resume your usual dosnig schedule. Do not double the dose to cacth up.
